I have a 10w7. Should i power it with a JL 500/1 mono amp or a Brutus BRZ1200 ?

I would go with JL. You'd be matching amp/sub brand which is a good thing, the JL has a high damping factor which usually equates to very good sound quality, and the JL has a 24db crossover which equates to sound quality and deeper bass. For SPL, probably not much difference between the two, but for sound quality the JL would definitely be the way to go.
